DR. BENEDETTO

Dr. Benedetto is dedicated to the traditional practice of medicine in an era when public companies and some surgeons are mass marketing LASIK to consumers as a commodity. He places the patient’s interest, service, and the doctor-patient relationship at the core of his practice.

Unlike many practices and institutions which perform laser vision correction, Dr. Benedetto personally determines whether a patient is a good candidate for LASIK. He does not delegate a patient’s medical care to other physicians, paraprofessionals or technicians. He personally attends each patient from the initial consultation through the preoperative assessment and postoperative evaluations. He knows that there is something to be learned from each patient examination, which can improve the quality of his surgical results and service, and recognizes that the quality of his results depends upon the most qualified professional evaluating each patient. He shares his personal history and experience with minor and major complications of vision correction surgery. He discusses his surgical outcomes compared to national statistics and the latest technology applicable to each patient.

Dr. Benedetto is now in his twenty-seventh year of private medical practice. He is a certified LASIK surgeon who has been performing vision correction surgery for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism since 1990.
